To open an STX account and wager, you must:

- be **19 years of age or older**;
- complete registration and [identity verification](https://help.stxapp.ca/account/verifying-your-identity/); and
- be **physically located in Ontario** whenever you place a wager. STX checks your location when you wager; see [Location checks](https://help.stxapp.ca/account/location-checks/).

You can live outside Ontario and still have an account, but you can only wager while you are in Ontario.

## How do I sign up?

Download the STX app from the App Store or Google Play, or go to [stxapp.ca](https://stxapp.ca), and complete the registration. Your account is ready to use once your identity has been verified.
